Ilanga Travel enjoys a day of Site Inspections!

This month we took the opportunity to do some site inspections for you. We would like to present 3 new Cape Town properties and one winelands property to you which we are quite excited about!

These properties serve as great alternatives to our usual favourites.

We were lucky enough to start our day off with a lovely breakfast visit to the Twelve Apostles Hotel. As always this property just knows how to impress. The location and ambience is just something special! Enjoying a delicious breakfast whilst looking at the Atlantic Ocean  is one of the best ways to start your day! We love the Twelve Apostles for families – they offer just the right combination of family fun and elegance.

We stopped by at these properties as we slowly made our way back to our office….

Cape Diem Lodge

Cape Diem Lodge is situated in Greenpoint, just 7 minutes away from the Waterfront. This beautiful Victorian Villa dates back to 1888 and is a lovely combination of old and new. There are three different room categories, totalling 7 rooms in all – 1 Standard room, 4 Classic rooms and 2 Superior rooms. They do allow triples but only for children over the age of 12. The rooms are modern and light and are equipped with all the necessary amenities.

They have a great pool deck area where you can enjoy a relaxing pool day, as well as a rooftop sundeck where you can enjoy some sundowners after a busy day enjoying yourself.

We loved this property and are happy to have it in our portfolio.

Kaap Mooi Guest House

Kaap Mooi Guest House is surrounded by a lush garden in the quite suburb of Tamboerskloof. We enjoyed our visit to this elegant hidden gem!

They have 8 rooms in total with an option to make 3 of the rooms into a 3 Bedroom Cottage which has its own lounge and leads out onto the communal pool. Kids over the age of 12 are allowed at Kaap Mooi, therefore it’s a great option for families with teenagers.

They also have two spa treatment rooms – a lovely addition for a guest house and a very nice facility for honeymooners.

One Kensington Boutique Hotel

We loved the new One Kensington Boutique Hotel, which used to be called Villa Lutzi. This boutique hotel is located in Oranjezicht and has such a charm to it, you immediately feel at home. The thorough renovations that have recently taken place have really elevated this property and everything seems to fit together so beautifully. The calming atmosphere is wonderful for a stay in Cape Town – close enough to all the attractions the city has to offer, but also a great place to relax.

With 9 different rooms they have something for every sort of traveller. One Kensington is a great option for families – They have rooms that can do triples and also have a Penthouse Apartment which is great for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The boutique hotel is completed by a lovely pool and patio area. They also have a wonderful management team, and we know our clients will be well looked after!

Navarre Residence

Not located in Cape Town, but in the wine region between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, we also took a look at the new Navarre Residence.

This product can only be booked as a whole house and is ideal for 4 adults or a large family looking for exclusivity and tranquility. The house is equipped with everything you need.

The price includes a butler, a housekeeper, laundry service and of course breakfast. You can also order your own chef to prepare lunch and dinner at an additional cost.

A swimming pool as well as a wonderful green area complements the property.
