The Amakhala Reserve is only a 45 minute drive east of Port Elizabeth and is situated in the malaria free,Greater Addo and Frontier Country area in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. HillsNek Safaris is set on the banks of the Bushmans River with a breathtaking vista of rolling African plains. It offers four tents which are linked to the main lodge by raised wooden walkways. The stone, canvas and thatch main lodge consists of an open plan lounge, bar with sitting area and dining-room with decks overlooking the surrounding vegetation. The stone swimming pool sits front and centre on the main deck allowing one to relax and enjoy the African sunshine and its parading wildlife on the not too distant sprawling plains.

To give you peace of mind, these packages can be cancelled from 60 days prior to arrival until 48 hours before arrival free of charge, should the clients need to cancel for the following reasons:

• The government in the guests’ country restricts travel

• The government in South Africa restricts incoming travel

• International flights are cancelled and no alternative routings available for guests to travel in and out of South Africa  

• The guest has contracted COVID19 and is receiving treatment or is in quarantine up to 48 hours prior to their arrival in South Africa. Ilanga Travel will request proof of a positive test result.
