African Home Guesthouse

Built in 1790 as Lord Nelson’s hunting lodge, this 4-star property is one of the oldest buildings in the suburb of Sea Point. It is marked by its very unique mixture of simplicity with modern elements, and set in an old building which still radiates the special charm of bygone eras. In this small oasis in the midst of a hectic metropole, without the noise of a big city, we strive to spoil our guests: we offer them the possibility to relax at our stylish pool and lounges and grant life more serenity. The day begins with a sumptuous breakfast. During the day we provide you with snacks and salads on request and you can round off the evening with a sundowner on one of our terraces.

We offer 8 double rooms in total: 4 very spacious superior rooms and 4 luxury rooms which are spread on two levels.

All rooms have either king size beds with extra-long mattresses or double beds.

Each room is equipped with a small fridge as well as a safe. Wi-Fi internet as well as TV reception is available throughout the guest house. All rooms offer en suite bathrooms.

Room 1 and 2, each superior rooms, share a closed-off courtyard, the shower in room 1 is visible from the bedroom with glass shower doors while room 2 is the only room with a bath tub.

Room 3 (luxury room) has a separate entrance from the breakfast terrace. Room 4, also a luxury room, closes off as the last room with access to the backyard.

Rooms 5-8 are located on the first floor and thus boast beautiful views: Room 5 and 8 (superior rooms) look over the Cape Town mountains, either Lion‘s Head or Signal Hill. Room 6 and 7 (luxury rooms) with a large veranda, look over the pool area to the ocean in the background. All rooms on the upper floor have king size beds and of course each has its own en-suite bathroom.

The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa

The hotel is located approx. five-minute’s drive outside Camps Bay and offers wonderful views over the ocean.

Of the 70 elegant and individually decorated rooms/suites we got a One Bedroom Mountain Facing Suite. Each room/suite has its own bathroom, hairdryer, air conditioning/heater, television and DVD player, telephone, mini safe and tea/coffee making facilities.

Our mountain suite had a lounge separate from the bedroom and TV and balcony. On arrival we received a bottle of sparkling wine and fresh fruit. As a turndown service, the bathroom was decorated with candles and the bed was decorated with sweets.

The hotel has a garden and a rock pool (even heated ), a small cinema, bar, fitness centre and a restaurant as well as 24-hour room service. There are safe parking facilities and transfer services to the airport and V&A Waterfront.

The Azure Restaurant boasts wonderful views over the ocean and serves international cuisine, inter alia a superb breakfast buffet with oysters and sparkling wine, lunch and dinner. The staff is very friendly and helpful – a very pleasant experience.

A highlight of the Twelve Apostles Hotel is the fully equipped wellness centre, the Sanctuary Spa, which offers a special hydro- and aroma treatment as well as a steam bath in the „Rasul Chamber”. Absolutely recommendable!

Sundown Manor

A friendly and comfortable atmosphere awaits you at Sundown Manor with 11 spacious rooms, all en-suite. All rooms are tastefully furnished and equipped with TV (Mnet, SABC and Super Sport), fans, tea/coffee making facilities and a safe. Both double rooms (king) and single beds are available and triple rooms can be arranged on request. Free Wi-Fi and parking are available for all our guests.

Relax in our lounge or on the open terrace – an ideal spot for breakfast and sundowners alike with a view over the spacious and inviting pool. The suburb Fresnaye is well protected and almost wind free – a quiet and inviting ambiance to relax on our sunny summer days! Two rooms open onto the pool and have a private entrance, however they are a bit smaller and not as beautiful and private as the ones in the main house.

Four Rosmead Boutique Guest House

The guest house is located in Oranjezicht. It looks towards Lion’s Head, Signal Hill and the harbour. It is a modern guest house with a subtle African style. All rooms are en-suite and equipped with air conditioning, TV, telephone, mini safe and a bar fridge. Some of the rooms have either a balcony or a private small courtyard. Others lead onto the very beautiful garden with a pond and a small herb garden.

Breakfast is served in the dining room. A small spa, a pool with sun deck and a DVD library is also available. All in all, a very pleasant guest house which is good value for money!
