Azura Quilalea introduces helicopter transfer service

We are delighted to announce that Azura is introducing a helicopter transfer service from Pemba direct to Quilalea Private Island, starting from 18 May 2013.

This is an exciting new development, as it gives Azura more control over our guests’ transfer experience, and cuts down the journey time to the island substantially. The flight is just 25 minutes along the stunning Mozambique coastline and over the islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago to the helipad at Azura at Quilalea Private Island.

The service will be offered by Archipelago Charters, who also do our transfers to Azura Benguerra, using a 4 seater Jet Ranger aircraft flown in from South Africa.

The aircraft can operate between 6am and 5pm, and will serve the most popular international scheduled flights to and from Pemba, including SA Airlink from Johannesburg, LAM from Johannesburg/Maputo, and KQ/LAM from Nairobi, as well as the planned Coastal Aviation route between Dar es Salaam and Pemba (more news on this expected soon).
