Thursday 24th December

Kids Club free play starts at 9am followed by other fun activities including working with clay, decorating milkshakes and marshmallows, play ball, dress up and African dancing.

Facilities on Offer at The Belmond Mount Nelson

The Lounge

No visit to Cape Town is complete without tea at the Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel.
Morning, Afternoon and Evening Tea are served in the lounge, on the terrace or around the garden fountain.
Morning Tea is served daily from 9:30am until 12pm at R225 per person; Afternoon Tea is served daily with two sittings from 1:30pm or 3:30pm at R295 per person and Evening Tea is served daily from 6pm at R295 per person.

Oasis Bistro

In the bright dining room we welcome our guests to sample our delicious breakfasts and extensive lunch buffets overlooking the hotel’s swimming pool and gardens.
Buffet breakfast is served daily from 6:30am – 11am and a buffet lunch and an à la carte menu will be available daily from 12:30pm to 3pm.

Bookings for lunch are essential.

In the event of rainy weather, additional seating for breakfast will be available in the Planet Restaurant which is located in the main hotel building.

Planet Restaurant Conservancy

The sunny Planet Restaurant Conservatory Bar overlooks the hotel’s magnificent gardens. This is a fabulous place to enjoy a pre‐dinner drink or private lunch or dinner.

Planet Restaurant is open from Monday‐Saturday from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.

Chefs Table

Here our Chefs encourage guests to indulge in their cuisine in the heart of the hotel kitchens. The Chefs Table restaurant offers a playful, slightly edgy and interactive culinary encounter, seating up to 12 guests and serving five unique sublime courses.

Open daily for lunch from 12‐2pm and dinner from 6:30pm.

Children

The Kids Club is situated next to the Oasis Bistro and opens daily from 9am to 6pm and offers an exciting variety of activities. We have listed a few of daily holiday activities in the diary below, and more information is available at the kids club.

Activities are subject to change.

The Teenage Room situated on the Ground Floor in the Orchid Room is open from 9am to 6pm daily. Activities include Air hockey, Xbox and PlayStation.

The Oasis Bistro is a family friendly restaurant with high chairs and a special children’s menu is available at all our restaurants, with the exception of Chefs Table.

Babysitting services are available; please inquire with Concierge for more details.

Swimming Pools

There are two heated outdoor swimming pools at the hotel.

The Oasis Pool which is ideal for families and the Garden Cottage pool reserved for over‐16s, both with poolside service.

Lifesavers will be on duty at the Oasis Pool.

Tennis Lessons

Resident tennis pro, Barkie McKrea, is available by advance booking to teach you to improve your serve, volleys and all aspects of your game. Barkie teaches beginners to advanced players, solo or in groups.

The tennis courts are lit at night for you to enjoy an early evening game of tennis and equipment is available to hire from the hotel Concierge.

The hotel gym is open 24 hours a day, and a personal training, yoga and pilates sessions can be booked with our professional trainers.

Shuttles are offered daily from the hotel at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm.

Lord Nelson Room

The Lord Nelson Room is located on the ground floor next to the Lounge, and will be setup for you to stay up-to-date on the various sporting events from across the
globe.
