Fancourt Renovations – Winter 2016

Communique from Fancourt Management:

Winter is traditionally a quieter time at Fancourt due to lower season occupancies and therefore the ideal period for refurbishments to take place with minimal disruption to Visitors and Members on our beautiful estate.

It is therefore my pleasure to draw your attention to the following:

400-Series rooms will be closed from 1 – 31 July 2016

A grand refurbishment of our 18 One-Bedroomed Suites, known as our 400 Series rooms and located close to the first tee of the Montagu golf course, will commence at the beginning of July and it is our goal to have everything including painting, tiling and new wood laminated flooring laid and complete by the end of the same month. Soft furnishings such as new headboards, rugs, lamps and even the re-upholstery of occasional chairs and couches are sure to elevate these rooms to the same standards as the 500 Series, which were built in time for the Presidents Cup in 2003.

Additional refurbishments taking place:

The Members’ locker rooms in the underground level of the main Clubhouse will not only receive some structural changes during the month of July but also furnishing refurbishments. The Banqueting Hall and Conference Centre will receive their own upgrades with internal soft changes taking place whilst this facility is closed from mid-June to be finished mid-August.

Every effort has been made to minimize impact on guests during their stay and we apologize for any inconvenience during the construction. Most of the work will occur from 08:00 – 17:00 on Mondays to Fridays and work over weekends or public holidays is not planned at this stage.
