Newmark Hotels adds Treasure to Portfolio

Newmark Hotels, one of South Africa’s growing hotel management groups, proudly announces another newcomer into their increasingly diversified portfolio: Coral Lodge 15.41 in Mozambique.
“It’s not about expansion for the sake of expansion; it has been our mission to find the right hotels and resorts that complement our portfolio and ethos. Without a doubt Coral Lodge adds great depth to our expanding portfolio,” says Neil Markovitz, Managing Director of Newmark Hotels.
Built on a privately-owned peninsula reserve, Varanda, Coral Lodge is a buffet of unique and enriching cultural, gastronomic and adventure experiences.
Markovtiz continues: “Coral Lodge is located in an area steeped in heritage, which is something that we at Newmark respect and value, as one can see from our Cape Town properties. With this comes a cultural authenticity that cannot be replicated and as such Coral Lodge offers the real Mozambique experience – and then some!”
Located near Mozambique’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ilha de Mozambique, guests at Coral Lodge are able to explore the former Mozambican capital and uncover over a century of history when visiting Vasco de Gama’s residence and exploring the colonial buildings and even the San Sebastiao Fort (1558 AD), which can be seen from the lodge itself.
