Simbavati Hilltop Lodge

There are a few special places on the face of the earth that have the ability to take your breath away, and at Simbavati River Lodge, we have the privilege of being able to share such an experience with our guests.

However, great was our excitement and joy when it was agreed that the Simbavati brand can also be extended to reveal another precious bushveld gem to our guests. Adjacent to Simbavati is a beautiful koppie (small hill) from where one can enjoy unmatched views of the bush, the Nhlaralumi River, as well as the distant blue-tinted foothills of the Drakensberg.

We are in the process of building a new lodge called Simbavati Hilltop Lodge which is only a few kilometres from River Lodge. It will be operational from 01.05.2014.

Breaking with the long standing bush tradition of using Meru-style tents, the camp will boast a fresh look through loose standing pavilion style tents, creating a unique village feel.The new lodge will be 5* quality with 8 twin luxurious safari tent accommodating a maximum of 16 guests.

Each “room” will comprise of two individual tents, one for the main bedroom, and a separate bathroom tent. The two tents are connected by a passage which can be opened up on the one side, allowing you the opportunity to shower either indoors or outdoors.

Sharing the same 13500 hectares of traversing with River Lodge, Simbavati Hilltop Lodge will provide the same quality of game viewing as has been experienced by our valued guests over the past five years.
